:: January 17, 2002 - Lunch with Greg::

I got another email from the other Mike Browne this morning. He told me that he lives in the land ruled by Harry Pothead's Granny in a little town called Cleveleys. He says he's still in Sixth Form (I presume the equivalent of grade 12 in High School here) and plans to attend University next year. Oxford or Cambridge, Mike? Will you be hanging with Stephen Hawkings? You have to be a smart guy with a name like Mike Browne.

I got an email from Ed Bain, the Q100.3 morning guy who's CD I was listening to yesterday. The money from sales of the CD goes to a good cause and Ed is as funny as hell so it's well worth it. The Martha Stewart parodies are hilarious.

Greg Buhr. I worked with Greg at OnlineOffice (I'd put a link to it but it's a dot-gone and a dumb idea). He's the guy who said, "Why don't you scan your lunch?" I don't think he thought I would. Greg is a web-able musician and all around good guy!

The Templeton on Granville Street in Vancouver. It's like a 1950's diner. Very cool place. "Quality food. Snappy Service"

Jukebox. There's one of these at every booth. I don't know if they work, but they look cool. They also have a huge screen on the wall behind the lunch counter that was playing Roy Orbison music videos the whole time we were there.

Greg had a BLT with soup and a pickle. He had a cup o' coffee to drink.

I had the "777 Burger" 1/2 a pound of meat with fries and fixings. I had a Cherry Coke to drink.
