:: February 8, 2002 - Lester Normal's Lunch ::

Things are very strange in our neighbourhood. Not a 7 minute drive from our house Vancouver (who are looking keystone copish) and Lower Mainland Police are in the midst of executing a search warrant that may lead to uncovering some, if not all, of the whereabouts of 50 women missing from Vancouver's Lower East Side over the past few years. The pig farm that they are turning upside down looking for evidence brings thoughts of recent movies like Snatch and Hannibal in which murder victims are done away with by being fed to pigs. If this farm turns out to be the key to the mystery it would mean that not only was there a serial killer at work just down the street, but that he (they) were the close to the most prolific in Canada and even the US. However, hopefully, this will be the end and give some closure to the families of the victims.

What Lester Normal aka Leslie Norman a friend of ours who works at Davis and Company here in Vancouver said the following about her lunch:

I took a picture of my lunch today. We have a "staff only" cafeteria which the prices are very cheap and the food is pretty good. I felt too lazy to make my lunch...sigh. I had tossed salad with a scoop of tuna on it and balsamic salad dressing. I had a bottle of Dasani water only because I like that commercial so much...you know the one where the lady is day dreaming about being served by some hottie on the beach...only to be disturbed by her nerdy assistant? Anyway I also included a picture of
Ernie Norman (Lestser's Dad) because he is funny and weird as hell and is away visiting one of his friends. He travels so much that I usually only get to have lunch with his picture. This picture was taken in Austrailia with a little cute koala (they can be very mean tho you know).

My boxed lunch of Salami and mozzarella cheese sandwiches, a strawberry fruit roll-up and some grapes.

A cereal bar. Not just for breakfast.

Diet Pepsi Twist - Again. I may be obsessed with lunch and Pepsi Twist but there is another Mike who is obsessed with Tonkas.

I still have this stupid cold. Maybe laughter is the best medicine. I know I always feel better after a good guffaw.
