:: February 12, 2002 - Olympic Style Robbery Lunch ::
The stinkin' Russians, Anton
Sikharulidze and Elena
Berezhnaya, won the gold medal last night in pairs figure skating
even after huge mistakes and wobbling around like a couple o' drunken
sailors. The Canadian
pairs team, Sale and Pelletier, skated a flawless routine and
were awarded silver. A travesty of Olympic proportions. Apparently
the Eastern European judges thought that putting the screws to the
Canadian team would be fun. This calls into question, once again,
the judging at world class figure skating events. I like hockey
a lot more, but this crap makes no sense at all. Oh those Russians!
